Black Friday the beginning of Holiday Shopping

I am not sure everyone knows about Black Friday. The day that folks wait for retailers to have huge savings for them... Of course you know that they aren't really savings at the major department stores. Changing the mannequins

Today the mannequins took on a life of their own. The wind was blowing sofltly and I felt a cool chill. As I entered the store, I was wondering what I would wear if I the store was my closet. I selected a washable light olive crop jacket with matching trousers. I decided not to wear a blouse underneath, maybe a tank would be enough. Thowing a beautiful woven multicolored scarf around the neck, I topped it with a green beaded belt that doubles as an endless necklace.
I must admit I looked hot if I was actually wearing that..well the mannequin could be you... she's got it going on at NUYU on Beverlywood in Los Angeles.
Just so you know...Velvet is hot this season. You heard it first from me.....aka phenomenal woman!

I can't believe the weather in Southern California...It's cold in the morning, hot, in the afternoon and before you can grab a jacket, its cold again. I have figured out that I have to layer! When I lived in New York and I would ride the subway , go to work, go visit a friend, the weather changed drastically from outside in so I layered. I think it is really going to be a cold winter in Cali...I have planned to wear a unique wool wrap to take with me everywhere and I am thinking of getting leggings...could be cute under full skirts that I like to wear. Hi heels are in....but I prefer flats or boots...so I will invest in a boot to match my wrap....sofar..I think I'm looking good. A basic pant for really cold days and a long sleeve sweater that is bulky and can be worn over almost anything. I will wear my full skirt with the bulky sweater on some days too. I haven't decided color. Fall hot colors are jewel tones ...hmmm. I'm thinking red, although I just tried some hot mirror purple nail polish from my avon rep juujuu. Well i'll talk to you later

This is my first blog ever and I am excited to write about fashion. I write daily and I watch the exciting adventures of fashion. I don't miss America's Top Model for more reasons than style...lol...and I love gossip girl....Ugly Betty was one of my favorites until they moved it to Friday....Go figure....do they really want us to see it...Maybe I will go to BJs and ask to watch it one Friday instead of Sports.... anyway....
